Before-and-after picture from Joplin, MO neighborhood
This is reportedly the E 24th St. area between Kentucky Avenue and Grand
Avenue. The
first
picture, from Google Street View, shows what the neighborhood looked
like before.
And
this is after.
The death toll from the storm has now hit 117, the single deadliest
twister in the past 60 years according to the National Weather Service.
Until this week, the single deadliest tornado on record killed 116 people
in Flint, Mich., in 1953.
